Overview

The Goldshell SC5 Pro II is Goldshell's current Siacoin (SC) miner, released in January 2026. It delivers 14 TH/s on the Blake2B-Sia algorithm at 3,300 W, an efficiency of 0.236 J/GH, which is roughly 27% more hashrate than the SC5 Pro it replaces (11 TH/s at 2,820 W). It is a full-size, air-cooled industrial unit intended for a mining farm or hosting facility.

Key Features

  • 14 TH/s Blake2B-Sia – the highest-hashrate Siacoin miner Goldshell sells
  • 0.236 J/GH efficiency at 3,300 W
  • Dual-fan air cooling, Ethernet control, standard stratum pool support
  • Hosting ready: designed for 24/7 operation in a ventilated facility

Mining Profitability

At current Siacoin network conditions the SC5 Pro II earns about $11.77 a day (roughly 10,700 SC, ASIC Miner Value, 26 September 2026) and draws 79.2 kWh:

Electricity priceProfit per day
$0.05/kWh$7.81
$0.07/kWh$6.23
$0.10/kWh$3.85
Break-evenabout $0.149/kWh

Siacoin is a much smaller and less liquid market than Bitcoin, and SC revenue moves with its price and network hashrate, so treat these as today's figures, not a forecast. It needs hosted or industrial electricity; at European household prices it loses money.

Blake2B and the BTCB2 fork

Since 30 August 2026, Blake2B hardware can also mine BTCB2 ("Bitcoin Blake2b"), a fork of Bitcoin backed by Bitcoin Knots supporters that split from the main chain on 8 August and switched its proof-of-work to Blake2B at block 961,640. It pays 3.125 coins per block and can only be mined by Siacoin-class ASICs, which is why Blake2B revenue and SC5 Pro II prices have jumped: on 27 September MiningNow estimated about $66 a day for this machine mining BTCB2, several times its Siacoin revenue.

Treat that as speculative. BTCB2 is weeks old, thinly traded and already more than 80% below its 5 September high, and its developers have proposed locking newly mined coins for 45 days. If the fork's price or hashrate moves against you, the machine falls back to Siacoin economics above. Buy it for Siacoin; treat BTCB2 as upside, not the plan.
