Short answer: Bitcoin mining is profitable in November 2026 only on cheap power. Hashprice is about $33 per PH/day ($0.0332 per TH/day), so a 13.5 J/TH Antminer S21 XP breaks even at roughly $0.10/kWh, an 18.5 J/TH WhatsMiner M60S at $0.075/kWh, and nothing current pays on European household electricity.
This is our monthly profitability report. Every figure below was checked on 2 November 2026 against Hashrate Index and mempool.space, and the model numbers use the same constants as our live profitability ranking.
The network in one table
| Metric | 2 Nov 2026 | What it means |
|---|---|---|
| Bitcoin price | ≈ $78,000 | Down from the 2025 highs, up from June's $59,005 cycle low |
| Network hashrate | 1,058–1,066 EH/s | Back above 1 ZH/s since 11 October |
| Difficulty | 148.36 T | +5.54% on 29 Oct after +5.92% on 16 Oct; 4.9% below the Oct 2025 record |
| Next adjustment | ≈ −1.75% (~13 Nov) | Early estimate — only a quarter of the epoch had passed |
| Hashprice | $33.18 / PH / day | = $0.0332 per TH per day |
| Fees share of rewards | 0.56% | Below 1% every month since July 2025 — revenue is almost all subsidy |

How hashprice moved over six months
Hashprice is the single number that decides mining revenue: what one unit of hashrate earns per day. (If the term is new, our hashprice explainer covers it.)
| Month (2026) | Average hashprice | Range | Driver |
|---|---|---|---|
| May | $36.60 | $33.43–39.09 | Stable BTC |
| June | $30.37 | $27.67–33.77 | BTC cycle low; record-low monthly average |
| July | $31.21 | $27.80–33.16 | Second-lowest month on record |
| August | $34.63 | $31.18–40.33 | BTC +24.6% in the month |
| September | $39.33 | $37.56–41.33 | Best month of 2026 so far |
| October | ≈ $37.97 | $32.80–41.24 | Two +5% difficulty jumps late in the month |
| 1–2 November | ≈ $33.2 | — | After the 29 Oct adjustment |
For context, 2025 monthly averages ran from about $38 to $59. Today's $33 is roughly 28% below October 2025's $46. The forward market (Luxor) was pricing about $32.88 on average through March 2027, so do not plan on a quick rebound.
What popular miners earn right now
Gross revenue is hashprice × hashrate. Net is after electricity at three power prices. Our Paraguay hosting rate ($0.0152/kWh) stands in for hosted power.
| Miner | J/TH | Revenue/day | Net @ $0.0152 | Net @ $0.05 | Net @ $0.08 | Break-even power |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Antminer S23 Hyd | 9.5 | $19.26 | $17.25 | $12.64 | $8.68 | $0.146 |
| SealMiner A4 Pro Air | 10.9 | $11.16 | $9.82 | $6.76 | $4.12 | $0.127 |
| Antminer S23 | 11.0 | $10.56 | $9.28 | $6.36 | $3.84 | $0.126 |
| Antminer S21 XP | 13.5 | $8.96 | $7.63 | $4.59 | $1.97 | $0.102 |
| Antminer S21+ | 16.5 | $7.80 | $6.39 | $3.15 | $0.36 | $0.084 |
| Antminer T21 | 19.0 | $6.31 | $4.99 | $1.98 | −$0.62 | $0.073 |
| WhatsMiner M60S | 18.5 | $6.18 | $4.92 | $2.05 | −$0.43 | $0.075 |
Spec hashrate and power, 100% uptime, before pool fees. The quick rule: break-even $/kWh = hashprice per TH ÷ (J/TH × 0.024). At $33/PH/day that is about $0.075 for 18.5 J/TH machines, $0.10 for 13.5 J/TH and $0.146 for 9.5 J/TH.
Three things this month's numbers tell you
1. Efficiency now matters more than price per terahash. At $0.08/kWh the cheap 18–19 J/TH generation (T21, M60S) loses money every day, while 11 J/TH and better machines keep a margin. Wholesale prices show the same split: Hashrate Index's ASIC price index has sub-14 J/TH machines at $18.38/TH against $1.18/TH for the 25–38 J/TH fleet.
2. Power price is still the whole game. Moving an S21 XP from $0.08 to hosted power at $0.0152 lifts its net from $1.97 to $7.63 a day — nearly four times more. That is why we sell machines with hosting rather than for home use; the arithmetic is in hosting vs mining at home.
3. Don't count on fees. Transaction fees were 0.56% of rewards last week. Until that changes, revenue moves with BTC price and difficulty, nothing else.
Altcoins in brief
| Algorithm | Revenue per unit per day | Example |
|---|---|---|
| Scrypt (LTC + DOGE merged) | ≈ $0.349 per GH/s | Antminer L11 20 GH/s ≈ $6.98/day gross |
| kHeavyHash (Kaspa) | ≈ $0.162 per TH/s | Antminer KS7 40 TH/s ≈ $6.48/day gross |
Computed from network data and CoinGecko prices on 2 Nov 2026, LTC+DOGE only. Some calculators quote more because they add small merge-mined coins.
Should you buy a miner this month?
If you can host at under $0.05/kWh, current-generation machines pay back in roughly 8–17 months at today's hashprice and our prices — see the model comparison for payback by model. If your only option is home power in the UK or EU, no Bitcoin ASIC is profitable at 2026 hashprice. Check your own numbers in the mining calculator.
Mining income is never guaranteed. Hashprice moves daily with Bitcoin's price and network difficulty. Next report: early December 2026.
